Reviews from those who have first hand knowledge of our Workshops 1/2/2006 Re: Training session with Dr. Steven Cimerberg Recently, our OB/GYN practice underwent major changes. Starting in 2006, we decided to give up the practice of obstetrics. There are a variety of reasons involved in the decision, but as any OB/GYN knows, the time demands, rising cost of liability insurance, and desire for more family time were major factors. We have a large gyn practice, but decided that adding aesthetics to our practice would not only help with the bottom line, but provide a practice that would be "fun" and that our patients would definitely be excited about. We wanted to provide a service that was in high demand, and surveys of our patients showed us that this was indeed the case. We went to the courses, but needed more "hands on" experience before we were comfortable in providing these services. Of course, we needed to meet the expectations of our patients if we were going to be successful. We were very fortunate to be referred to Dr. Cimerberg and discovered that he was willing to come to our practice for a full day to learn the proper techniques for treating patients with Botox and Restylane. Dr. Cimerberg spent the whole day with myself and my partner and we were so happy with the experience. I can say that after that day, I felt perfectly comfortable in beginning to offer these procedures to our patients. We spent the morning going over the basics, potential complications, etc. We then arranged to have approximately 8 "patients" (family and friends to start!) come in and we were able to experience true hands on training with the comfort of having Dr. Cimerberg present to guide us. All of us physicians have learned new techniques and procedures with guidance from those who are experienced. We all trained this way from residency and beyond, and that is why this session was so helpful. Dr. Cimerberg provided a checklist of everything we would need prior to that day, so we were ready to go. That afternoon we went over marketing and pricing, also very important aspects of success. Dr. Cimerberg did not hold any "secrets" and we got the feeling that he really had an interest in our success. He answered all of our questions honestly and completely. He brought along copies and examples of consents and questionnaires that we were free to copy or use as templates for our own paperwork. That day spent with Dr. Cimerberg was a bargain and money well spent for the rewards that we believe this aspect of our practice will bring us. I speak for not only the financial aspects, but the lifestyle changes that we will now experience. I can't thank him enough for the help. Clifford L.
